John Brown, a.k.a. the King of da ‘Burbz, has been described as one of the most controversial figures in hip-hop at this point in time. He was propelled to national notoriety in the USA as a finalist on “Ego Trip’s (White) Rapper Show” on VH1. On the show Brown was best known for relentlessly marketing his company “Ghetto Revival” and one of their catchphrases - “Hallelujah Holla Back”.

Canada's hardest working DJ - DJ Denox from Montreal has been busy recently. He recently dropped mixtapes with HHNLive.com and Wordsmith's The Mid-Year Review Mixtape and his most recently released tracks include collaborations with Trick Trick and Labba. He also has upcoming releases that’ll drop in weeks to come with SoulStice, Billy Danze, Scape and Chaundon etc.

Once we were put on to Real Life we had to hear more. This artist has an authentic sound that is classic Hip Hop. Even though he is from the South he has a funky sound derived from samples and drops his rhymes in a clear and concise manner. I felt there was a touch of Mad Skillz about him, but he is his own man and is able to rap on a variety of deep topics.

Marcas Harris also known as "Bullet aka Genius Jenkins" is a battle rapper who who has won over forty battles. Apparently he is called Bullet because of the shape of his head! He's from Chicago 's Southside and his ability to assemble hit records without dumbing down has propelled him to secure spots on national hip hop websites and hip hop DVD collections.

Hip hop remains alive and growing every step of the way. Almost September, undoubtedly the hottest trio to bounce out of the states since back in the day have elevated the floor of hip hop yet again. Their knowledge and experience in hip hop makes it hardly surprising to see them throwing down some of the hottest beats you’ll hear coming out of your speakers this summer, and probably past September too.

Next up from our E4.com re-launch we have Beardyman and Klumzy Tung. Beardyman (real name Darren Foreman) is a former UK Beatbox champion 2006. Together with is partner in crime they apparently didn't need much cajoling to dress up as traffic wardens and verbally assault the British public.
