"I see a genocide right before my eyes - it's the holocaust of today". Remember when you used to listen to a hip hop track... and then listen again and again and again? Just to get a whole new take on the lines? Seems as though the majority of those carrying such a challenged these day are the rappers who are poets, or poets who are rappers. Because when they don't recognise rap is poetry, they don't honour the language with eloquence.

Yaeo of MohawkGangEntertainment has dropped the 2009 remix of Busta's smash 'Arab Money'. Yaeo plays with the original concept of the track exchanging arab money with 'Giro Money' which instantaneously gives the song a British identity whilst also adding an element of comedy to this already character filled track.

16's Slaughter is made up of 16 verses only. And he makes the most of them, considering each track displays a different spitting style. ‘Bandana On The Right Side’ reminds me of the theory that although Britain ‘stole’ America’s old school hip hop. New school hip hop has stolen the raw British soul. And in this track, A Dot has stolen it back. |
