1) DJ Analogue - "SOL Intro"
2) Eliphino - "Ode To Otis & Rza"
Sick little beat which I picked up off
Eliphino's MySpace... but he's constantly rotating beats so there'll be something else up by the time you read this.
3) Haiku - "On The Road"
Haiku is in 9-Lives Clik alongside Eliphino, Chief Wigz and Pro-Optik. This self-produced track is on the excellent Leeds By Example compilation - more details
here or read my review
here.
4) Junkyard Tactics - "Takin' Ova"
Stone cold LS classic from a few years back featuring Oddball, J-Bravo and Monkee spitting and Breaking The Illusion on the beat.
5) Diversion Tactics - "Influence"
Booming underground UK hip-hop from the Guildford crew, whose "Pubs, Drunks & Hip-Hop" LP also featured appearances by J-Zone, Al-Shid etc.
6) Dr Knox - "No Rest For The Wicked"
Dr Knox consists of Leeds producer Wisdomtooth and Leeds / Seattle MC Malaki. Their album "IEgo" is out now - I should be dropping a review of it soon.
7) Analogue - Beat Interlude
8) DJ IQ ft. Jehst - "Elevate" (Ghost Remix)
I don't need to tell you about
Jehst do I? This track should still be on free download on
Ghost's MySpace page.
9) DJ Prolific - Sound Element exclusive preview [untitled beat]
To be features on Prolific's forthcoming "Sound Element" LP.
10) Tommy Evans - "Northern Hospitality"
White-label version of Ludacris' "Southern Hospitality" from 2004, courtesy of
RealBeats.com.
11) Ricochet Klashnekoff - "Daggo Mentality"
Classic
K-Lash track... hopefully I'll have a final copy of the new LP by the time I do the next podcast!
12) Horace Andy - "Johnny Too Bad"
Just a snippet!
13) Alphabetix ft. Fenna Rhodes - "Boomstick"
MC ABD dropped me this on a CD at a recent show - sick tune :-)
Part 2 - Moulding The BreaksA mash-up of tunes and beats with DJs
Mike D and
Etch and
MC El-D (AKA
Lyrical Dan). We should have another mix by these boys next month also featuring
MC Higher Elements. Also, if you're in Leeds, check out MTB's regular monthly night,
Subterrania @ the
Primrose Pub, Meanwood - I should be doing a set there for the April date and I'll definitely be going down on the 28th of this month to support!

Catch you later in the year for the next instalment.
Peace
