Black Attack first gained notoriety with the release of the now defunct Correct Records single "Holdin' It Down" / "Verbal Attack" featuring Problemz, which quickly became an underground classic, receiving radio spins nationwide and eventually getting played by Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex.

Butta Verses, a Bronx-bred rapper who now calls Fort Lauderdale, Florida home, made his debut appearance on De La Soul’s 2004 release The Grind Date spitting back to back with Posdonus on the song “No”. Fellow MCs at local ciphers bestowed Butta's name upon him, but once his mixtape reached the ears of DJ Maseo from De La Soul, his rhymes started reaching neighborhoods around the world.

 The Dance Consortium was created in 2000, aiming to develop dance audiences and promote the art form as a source of entertainment. In addition Breakin’ Convention and Dance Consortium presented Australian Dance Theatre this Spring, and will present a further four productions throughout the forthcoming year by Nederlands Dans Theater 2, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and LaLaLa Human Steps. |

Now firmly established as a must-see event in the dance calendar, 2007 marks the fourth Breakin’ Convention at Sadler's Wells and due to ever-increasing popularity, sees the festival break out of London for the first time to tour a further eight venues across the UK as part of a Dance Consortium tour. |

Since graduating from the London Contemporary Dance School, Jonzi has been committed to the development of Hip Hop theatre, creating Lyrikal Fearta in 1995, and Aeroplane Man in 1999. |

 Talk about perfect timing. Just as we were all getting tired of snapping our fingers and shaking our Laffy Taffys and whilst Nas defiantly declared Hip Hop is dead, a few enigmatic Hip Hop acts managed to slip through the net. They weren’t flashy, boastful or gangsta. Nah, these guys were smart: some might say artsy, old fashioned lyricists who were raised on Hip Hop. |
