Tash of the Alkaholiks - BiographyTash aka Catashtraphe, the Godchild of legendary R&B crooner Al Green, has had music pumping through his veins since he was in diapers. For the last eighteen years Tash has consistently made internationally revered Hip Hop music as a solo artist, and as a member of super Rap trio Tha Alkaholiks.

Garnering respect among constituents and achieving legendary status among fans and music critics alike, Tash is recognized as one of the top ten West Coast emcees. His signature style, vicious lyrics and life of the party high-energy performances have spawned loyal fans around the world.

Tash of the AlkaholiksTash's illustrious career includes a slew of guest appearances on multi-platinum and gold selling albums such as Xzibit's "Restless", the "Friday Soundtrack" and De La Soul's "Art Official Intelligence". Tash has also lent his lyrical dexterity to producers and artists such as WILL.I.AM, Gnarls Barkley, Mos Def, Q-Tip, Tony Touch, Dilated Peoples, DJ Honda, and countless others. His innate A&R skills have also led him to become the catalyst for the career success of many musicians such as Xzibit, Defari, Phil D'Agony, Madlib, and Tha Lootpack.

Tash's most recent work includes a movie role in Lion's Gate Films "A Day In The Life" written by, directed by and starring Sticky Fingaz, also guest starring Omar Epps, Mekhi Phifer, Michael Rapaport, Ray J, Fredro Starr, and Faizon Love. His last debut as Cochise in Snoop Dogg's Tha Eastsidaz boosted the movie to cult classic status.

Tash's highly anticipated solo LP "Control Freek" is set for release this Cinco de Mayo, May 5th, 2009, on Amalgam Digital Distribution.
