On 23rd November 50 Cent performed a show at the Highline Ballroom in New York. The show was put on by Hot 97 and Myspace and was promoted by Digiwaxx Media and was by all accounts off the hook. BTW word on the streets is that next weeks MySpace show is going to blow last nights show out the water! |

HomeGrown: The Story of UK Hip Hop is the first major exhibition to choronicle, in depth, the development of the UK Hip Hop scene.
Looking back over three decades, the exhibition tells the story of how a generation of youth took the spirit of the Bronx block party and fused it with their own uniquely British influences. In doing so it shows how a US subculture featuring art, politics, rhyme, dance and music was adopted, adapted and embraced to create a powerful, complex, cultural force, this side of the Atlantic.
Working with the UK's most influential figures in Hip Hop the exhibition brings together the rare, remarkable and irreplaceable in Hip Hop photography, music, film and fashion from the best private collections including those of Normski, Malcolm McLaren, Dave Pearce and DJ Semtex. |

Here are some amazingly fresh pics of the Virus Syndicate at the King Apparel store for an instore appearance last week on 27/08/2009. All the photographs are taken by the hugely talented Charlie Whatley. If you didn’t pop down it was a great night, the Arette rum and tequila cocktails flowed, Plastician, EL – B and J Da Flex kept everyone bubbling and Virus Syndicate came through and tore down the set performing tracks from their Break Out E.P trilogy!
