Channel 4 and Windfall Films have linked up with political activist Jody McIntyre and some of the best artists from the grime / hip hop world to bring you Jody McIntyre’s Bars for Change. The online project will be five music documentaries that will tackle hard hitting political and socially conscious issues that young people are concerned about and will feature artists including Lowkey, Lioness, Logic, RoxXxan and international music producer Jake Gosling plus many more to be announced.

The Boom Bap! is an alternative hip-hop night in East London that blurs the boundaries between audience and DJ. How? By letting the audience become the DJ. They can pre-submit tracks to play, listen to emerging producers and beat makers, participate in open decks (think open mics but for DJs) and trade their unwanted vinyl!

The original bad boys of Def Jam, Fredro Starr and Sticky Fingaz are comin to the UK for a massive gig in August. This should be an event not to miss with a catalogue of rowdy hits from as far back as 1993's Bacdafucup LP which included Slam which should get the whole audience bouncing. Djembe Entertainment have also put some great acts on the support bill so be sure to reach Fabric on the 4th August.

After a storming set at London's XOYO last night 25 year-old Jermaine Scott, aka Wretch 32 has announced a headline UK tour for October this year. Wretch 32 had an incredible start to the year. After being earmarked by BBC as a one to watch for their Sound of 2011 list, along with being hotly tipped by NME, MTV and HMV, as a rising music star he has gone on to achieve a top 5 debut smash with his first commercial single release, Traktor, and has just completed a tour with Example.

Atlantic Records’ rap sensation, Wiz Khalifa, will be hitting the UK shores this November for a headline tour. The run of dates will kick off at Glasgow’s O2 Academy on November 2nd and will include a London show at the prestigious O2 Brixton Academy on November 7th. Dates also include Newcastle, Bristol, Manchester, Southampton and Leeds.
