BBC Radio 1XtraAs part of 1Xtra's 'Homegrown Hits The Road', Ace & Invisible of 1Xtra and Channel U fame are coming to your town very soon for a live broadcast! You can't miss them as they'll be breezing through in the 1Xtra Homegrown tourbus, they will be visiting 5 cites: Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool and Cardiff to throw a spotlight on the local black music scene.

Ace & Vis will also be inviting some of the local talent to spit or sing on 1Xtra's 'United Kingdom' tune which will be produced by Baby J.

On Monday 22nd - Friday 26th May, 1Xtra's afternoon troublemakers Ace & Invisible will be embarking on a 5 city tour as part of 'Homegrown Hits The Road'.

1Xtra's Rodney P at Homegrown '05Homegrown Hits The Road' is derived from Ras Kwame's '100% Homegrown' show and is a celebration of the UK's vibrant black music scene. Ras Kwame kicks off the 'Homegrown Hits The Road' broadcasts from South Birmingham College on Sunday 21st May with a special Midlands edition of his '100% Homegrown' show featuring some of the best local black and asian music talent.

Ras Kwame will then hand over the baton to Ace & Invisible who will take the Homegrown concept to broadcast live from 5 cities across the week and highlight the local black music scene at every stop, collecting tunes along the way

Ace & Vis will broadcast live from 1Xtra's radio studio on the Homegrown tourbus which will be stationed outside the city's key community spots. The boys will be recording 2 versions of a specially commissioned track (produced by Baby J), one featuring established MCs from around the UK and the other featuring hot newcomers.
