 Hooch Events presents the first UK qualification for the International Battle Of The Year. Expect an almighty feast of the finest break dancing, featuring b-boy crew showcases and amazing battles!
Every year the International Battle Of The Year features the best and most innovative B-Boy crews from all over the world. One of the goals is to make this event as international as possible. The Battle Of The Year is a platform for B-Boys and Hip Hop culture in general and an opportunity for all participants to express themselves in a peaceful environment.
The B.O.T.Y. is a non-profit event which is made possible by the volunteers and sponsors who make the competition happen each year. Since 1996 the event has integrated young and motivated people to take part in the planning and implementation process not only supporting talented B-Boys but also giving the youth a chance to be creative and show their talents in other subjects like administration and organisation.
Battle Of The Year has a unique format where crews present pre choreographed six minute shows. Following the show round there are two semi final battles between the crews who had the 2nd and 3rd and 1st and 2nd ranked shows. The two winners go through to a 15 minute final. The victorious crew will be selected to represent the UK at the International Battle Of The Year in Germany.
