If any of you went to the UK DMC Championships at the Carling Academy last month then you know that you should definitely not miss this! The standard of DJ’s this year was phenomenal and I’ll be counting the days to this event on the 26th and 27th of September @ Indig02 (click here for travel & parking information http://www.theindigo2.co.uk/travel-and-parking.html).
DJ Skully (who I know from the Klashnekoff mixtapes) took last months competition held in Islington and will be representing the UK in September.

As usual, the finals are the end result of months of intense competition in a number of countries across the world including Japan, USA, Australia, Canada, across the whole of Europe and all the way out to China, Brazil and even Bulgaria – the winner of the final in September takes all of the glory… and so they should!
The competition is sponsored by Technics and Ortofon – which obviously means that the turntables used are Technics SL1200’s and the concord shaped Ortofon needles. It might even be my chance to get one of those Technics key rings shaped like a needle that I lost many years ago!
