 Following a hugely successful 20 dates around the country last year with 5 city residencies over 4 months, ILuvLive, London’s premier urban music showcase is back in the capital for it’s monthly shindig - bringing you best of urban music talent on the first Monday of every month.
Kicking things off on Monday 4th February will be Lee Henry, D-Boy feat Swiss & V Dubl E, K9, Charlotte O’Conner, Szjerdene, Sonny J Mason, former open mic winner Keleigh and The A’Jays plus guests tbc alongside Ras Kwame, Twin B and DJ Wonder on the wheels of steel. Launched in June 2004 in London, ILuvLive is a live event success story - a night which has never failed to captivate and titillate urban music aficionados across the UK. With few showcases left open to urban music, ILuvLive has helped numerous performers present their artistry to an assembled group of music industry virtuosos, journos and fans alike. Providing these artists with a leg up in the notoriously fickle urban music industry, past events have included artists as diverse and well established as Ms Dynamite, Sway, Shola Ama, Nathan, JME, Skinnyman, Terri Walker, Plan B, Mpho Skeef and Lady Sovereign, amongst others. Supported by the Arts Council England, The PRS Foundation, hip hop clothing label Live Mechanics, MTV Base and BBC 1Xtra, ILuvLive launched a series of city residencies in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Derby and Bristol last year, alongside their infamous London dates, culminating in this Best Of ILuvLive - a roundup up of the most promising talent from these dates.
