Some artists make albums because they can. The great ones make albums because they have to. With that said, the first thing you need to know about Boston-bred MC Mr. Lif’s new album, ‘Mo’ Mega’, is that this is the album he had to make.

West London’s Tef-Co are an upcoming crew and have their first official single Rumours out now. They come across as a very professional unit and their image is well refined. These guys seem to know what direction they are going in. The CD features three tracks, the first Rumours makes use of production from DJ Gold Fingers and comes in dirty and radio versions.

Intermet is originally from just South of London, but went to Cardiff University and much of his formative Hip Hop years were spent there. Originally a DJ, the lack of decks in his halls forced him to try his hand at MCing. After practicing at home his first showcase was in Exeter, Devon where one of the highlights was performing alongside Rodney P.

I have a couple of English Kid CDs here to tell you about. I have very little info on the guy, suffice to say that he hails from Peckham, South London. This particular CD that I have got round to is three tracks long.

Narcissus was born in '87, was raised in Reading, and as he puts it, 'shit happens, dropped out of school at 15 years old, started writin rhymes'. When we asked him he continued that he, 'left college under unfortunate circumstances, was a bum, worked on music' and so on. |

Heads have been waiting for this tomb to drop for a hot minute and finally here it is. Asaviour's debut LP, The Borrowed Ladder which is set to destroy sets across the globe. The intro for the LP gets things off to a speedy start with a fantastically funky loop and Asaviour shouting out his cohorts who have helped him get to this stage. Certainly an upbeat and interesting way to start. |

I seem to remember this crew from some Channel 4 competition in which I believe they did quite well. The crew comprises Snigger and Homey from Nottingham, who first decided to get into this music thing around 2002. This is the debut release from these pesky Kids In Tracksuits comes in the format of a 7” Limited Edition vinyl which is called an EP and features just three tracks as an introduction. |

Sicknote is an indie producer from Cardiff, Wales. He got in touch so that we could let you know about the tunes he is pushing over at his myspace page. The guy looks like a nerdy nutter and some of the music comes across like that as well. |

This is a DJ whose name I have not come across before, but apparently this is not his first mix CD as he previously had A Progression In Lazeology out. As with this CD, that one apparently has plenty of UK stuff on it, although I am led to beleive that this one is a big step up on the last.
