The South coast’s Mr Pen keeps on banging out the releases, yet I don’t hear his name mentioned anywhere. Who does he run with, where does he perform? Well it remains a mystery to me. Still anyone who keeps on banging out the work relentlessly needs to be given some recognition for their work.

I hadn’t heard of Geebag until now, but apparently he has been around for a bit of time now and has performed at the Apollo theatre and even the Italian National Breakdancing Championships in 2004. He has also just won Ras Kwame and Baby J’s 1Xtra Homegrown talent competition. |

I have never really rated Tupac, heresy some of you may cry. Well I had thought he was overrated and to be honest I just never gave the guy any time. Admittedly the themes of his songs seemed intelligent and I should have liked that, but I guess it just didn’t touch me for some reason. Anyhow, there are about a billion hardcore Tupac fans out there who are about ready to spill my claret, so I had better move on. |

We like Dubbledge here. His hook ups with Parky were dope and the Don’t Interrupt track on the ukhh.com CD was awesome. But the Watford based artist has put together his own mix CD and it is chocka with splendid offerings. |

Godbless was born in the US and based in Columbia, but he does consider the UK to be his second home due to his grandparents settling in England from Grenada in the ‘60s. He did move about a lot as a kid, but remembers being influenced by his grandfather the ‘Mighty Sir Roger’, a carnival star in Grenada. |
