Since its humble beginnings as a record shop over three decades ago, Greensleeves Records has slowly grown into an international institution. Indeed, the label has been at the forefront of every emerging style of reggae since its inception - from the roots and dub revolution to the digital revolution, from Dancehall to One Drop and from Ragga to Bashment.

She signed to the label back in 1999 and has featured on almost every Wolftown Recordings and UK Runnings release over the last six years. She has been working hard penning freestyles and collaborations, as well as hosting mixtapes for both UK and US mixtape DJ’s. |

 Yo... Shameless' live set last night at the Elbow Room ('longside the Paddyraggaband...) was close to being the best single live show I've ever seen. Skinnyman probably still edges it as #1 but there's not a lot in it... if you missed last night shame on you (no pun intended) and either way try and see him playing live if you get a chance. |

I was sent a promo MP3 of Pat D and Lady Paradox's track "Train Of Thought" by Leeds Hip-Hop Scene a few weeks back and was sufficiently impressed by the quality of the production (by Pat D) and rhymes (by Lady P) that I asked the boys to pass on my compliments to the creators and soon enough I was being asked to take a look over the whole album.

Two days before the stars in the sky aligned to give us 070707, eight stars of a different kind aligned themselves to perform at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. Minus off course the irreplaceable Ol’ Dirty Bastard (RIP) and an AWOL Cappadonna. The strange phenomenon of the smoking ban in the bar somehow added to the surreal atmosphere of the event as the buzz in the air was almost palatable.

With a funky and fresh melody-Kwadjo the funk master general along side Juxci is sure to ‘Make U Feel Alright’. This is not the most conventional collaboration but it is sure to get your toes tapping. With such a distinctive sound it’s clear to hear who Kwadjo’s influences are in his music; acts such as James Brown and more so Funkadelic seem to ooze out of the music.
