When Soul Fire Records officially retired in 2004, Soul Fire house musicians Leon Michels and Jeff Silverman started their own label, Truth & Soul, which has now become a label and production house based out of Brooklyn, NY that specializes in creating deep funk and soul music.

This is the first track from Fallin' Off the Reel Vol.2 and features some hella funky NYC and Puerto Rican musicians. The Hispanic funk groove of "La Valla" is the perfect example of the Truth & Soul aesthetic. Soulful and timeless, most listeners will be surprised to find that the song was penned and recorded a short time ago.

Broadcaster Amanda K Scott has just completed the first series of Choreography Film Awards. The six short films which have French, British or Dutch choreography will screen throughout Europe in Summer 2008. Two of the series commissioned films True Element and Cleopatra To Jezebel we're from Hip Hop choreographers. |
