It takes a lot to be proud of who you are for many of today’s youth. Especially with a lack of decent mainstream role models. These youngers need to look and listen ferociously to really get some solid guidance. To hear someone who, in so many ways, is just like them. Spitting about ish they can relate to. And getting somewhere by doing something positive.

The Identity EP sounds close to what you might get if Kanye West, Fela Kuti and Coldplay were locked up in a studio together. Breis (pronounced breeze) tackles the concept of identity more honestly and skilfully than most emcees ever could. His British and Nigerian identities are displayed equally, both musically and lyrically throughout the EP.

For any fan of Banksy’s work this book should become essential reading. Whereas Wall & Piece is official and comprehensive in detailing Banksy’s later work and stunts, and Banksy Locations & Tours by Martin Bull suited a specific purpose, but is now largely redundant due the stencils being buffed, Home Sweet Home is a celebration of Banksy’s street art in his home city of Bristol and mainly focuses on Banksy’s formative years and early works. |

Yeaaah. That's good. Really. Bliss. Chief Wigz creates an implausible dimension. With lightly caressed snare drums and hi-hat beats that seem to characterize the lyrics and personify the thoughts within them. Something that is so rare, I thought it was pure fantasy. |
