Serving up prime slabs of heavyweight beats and tasty rhymes is West London MC Doc Brown. He initially burst on the scene with the remix of Gary Jules’ Mad World and released his debut LP The Document last year. This time he returns with 16 tracks which add to the Citizen Smith franchise.

Kenny Vicious was born in Sheffield and is of half Spanish origin. He co-writes and produces with his musical partner Alton Daley. Kenny Vicious has used his broad experience of Vocal Coaching, Theatre and Nightclub performance to produce a cultural blend of different musical tastes, encapsulated in a Hip-Hop shell; this is not your average disposable rap.

This is the third volume in the Gold Digging Series which previously covered Kanye West and Jay Z. This time round the attention is focussed on Tupac and this CD contains the full original tracks of some 20 songs which were sampled as the basis for some of Tupac’s biggest hits.

Face was once a key member of the So-Solid Crew, but after releasing a series of mixtapes and creating a new crew called the Black Piranhas he has got his own deal and is set to release music as a solo artist. Earlier ths year Tricky set up a new label with Chris Blackwell and they decided to take a punt on Face.

The Doc’s back with another one, and he’s come a long way. Not content with Poisonous Poet fame, solo recognition with Citizen Smith Vol. 1 and The Document and BBC Radio and TV success, Mister Brown is planting Citizen Smith Vol.2 into the mix and paving the way for his brother and fellow PP fam Luc Skyz: next to put his stamp on the game.
