Hailing from the UK, Filfy is an artist with a really eclectic background, evolving and developing alongside the trends and transformation of the kaleidoscopic underground music scene of London. Filfy began his illustrious career as a Jungle MC, and as the craze for Jungle was leaving room for drum and bass, he became one of the pioneers of UK Garage, frequently appearing within the London club scene, teaming up with some of the hottest promoters and performing live at some of the most popular venues in town, as well as touring overseas.

'What If' is the new single from Middlesbrough, UK based People's Army representatives Leddie And Smoggy, and is taken from their upcoming debut album Sorry We're Late... which drops October 28th. Black Milk is a producer and rapper born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. As one of the most-celebrated auteurs of his generation of hip hop artists, he has conditioned fans and critics to always expect the unexpected each time he releases new music. Few producers have earned the notoriety and respect he has as a musician, and when that is coupled with commanding talent as an emcee, it's no surprise that his solo releases are met with exalted anticipation.

Probably not many of you heard of DJ Rawshark, but he has a pedigree within the UK Hip Hop scene that can't be touched by many. From the earliest days of Low Life records DJ Test has produced some of the most memorable early UK Hip Hop tracks and contributed to production, radio and graphic design as well as dropping some of the choicest cuts around.

For more than a decade and a half, Vinnie Paz has been a mainstay at the top of the independent hip-hop scene. He is the frontman of both Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of the Pharaohs and one half of the Heavy Metal Kings duo with Ill Bill. In 2010, he stepped out as a solo artist with his album, 'Season of the Assassin', and followed that up with the 2012 release of 'God of the Serengeti'. On 28 October 2013, Vinnie releases his new 8-song EP 'Carry On Tradition'.

After years of work-in-progress status, the archival global hip hop documentary Hip Hop: The New World Order announces its worldwide release. This groundbreaking film explores the global impact of hip hop music and culture highlighting eight international cities: Tokyo, Havana, London, Paris, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg and has mushroomed into a rare archive and video survey of pioneering artists and communities at the turn of the 21st century. Just when you think the art of turntablism can't get more innovative, exciting and challenging, the DMC DJ Championships spring back in to their annual season of action and surprised the world. Packing out a one day, all-day-long event at the massive, London venue Indig02, DMC has yet again proven to revitalize, boost and replenish this rich DJ culture. Including a myriad of excellent showcases and workshops including B-Boying, beatboxing and ofcourse Djing, this year's competition was truly something special, and further solidified DMC's importance in the technological advances in the art of DJing and music creation.

Here is the 'Dedicated EP', the first of many projects produced by Chicago producer Rediculus featuring UK MC Fdot1. This project came to light six months ago, shortly after Rediculus's mother passed and he was reflecting on where life was taking him. He hit the studio and made a bunch of beats in the weeks after that really resonated with him. He knew that these beats would be able to be used to provide a cohesive project showing what being dedicated to the things in your life means.

Last it was announced that The Game would be returning to the UK in October, however these dates have now been moved to November. The underground hip hop scene in the UK has gone through something of a revival in the past few years. It's easy to assume this is a response to the world at large; turbulent times make for more turbulent music. That said, the world has always been a turbulent place, at least if you're reading the right newspapers (or perhaps more accurately, not reading the wrong ones) and there's never a shortage of issues to be explored in hip hop.
