Pioneers Hip Hop Show 4/10/21 - Bristol Hip Hop History 1980s-1999

This month Whirlwind D shines a light on the brilliant hotbed of Hip Hop that is Bristol. As usual, the show focusses on the music and the records and begins the journey in the early 80s at the Dug Out Club with names like the Wild Bunch and Smith and Mighty.

The show then travels through the 80s and 90s with legends such as Kelz, Krissy Kris, Undivided Attention, Numskullz, Aspects and many more – see track listing below. Whilst the show is not exhaustive (and Whirlwind D does give thanks to ALL the artists that were instrumental in Bristol), the show covers many of the key artists and events of the time.

At the end of the show there is a feature a splash of brilliant new music!
