  • File Type: mp3
  • File Size: 50.6MB
  • Duration: 55:22
  • Bit Rate: 128kbps
Tracklist:

1) Megamouth & DJ Analogue – “Intro”
2) Megamouth interview

Megamouth is part of the Don't Talk To Strangers crew, who play regular shows around the West Yorkshire area. You can also catch them on their home turf running the night Beats & Pieces at Bar 122, Huddersfield.

3) Jehst – “Under The Weather” (Live in Leeds)

This live excerpt also features Braintax and DJ Benny Live. It was originally broadcast on Gilles Peterson's "Worldwide" show on BBC Radio 1.

4) Jehst – “China Shop Taurus”
5) Lewis Parker ft Klashnekoff & Skriblah – “No Escape”

A couple of pieces produced by "The Man With The Golden Sound", Lewis Parker – one of the few UK producers to make a significant impact stateside, including a track on Ghostface Killa's critically acclaimed "Fishscale" LP.

6) Organized Konfusion – “Stress” (Extra P Remix)

One for all you '90s heads…

Waaaaaay before Pharoahe Monch sampled Godzilla and dropped the infamous club banger "Simon Says" on Rawkus, he was one half of Organized Konfusion alongside Prince Po.  This is the title track from their second album, spruced up with a new beat and extra bars from Extra P, AKA Large Professor from Main Source.

7) Jimi Hendrix – “All Along The Watchtower”
8) Prince Buster – “Judge Dread”

A couple of non-Hip-Hop joints, just to keep things flowing…

9) Roots Manuva – “Witness The Fitness”
10) Roots Manuva – “Witness The Fitness” (Walworth Road Rockers Dub)

Heavy shit…. you know the score.

11) Freeway ft Jay-Z & Beanie Siegel – “What We Do”

I used to hate on Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella pretty badly but I really like this track. The video's pretty cool as well as I recall.

12) Sway – “Riding Dirty Remix”

The original Chamillionaire version of this is a bit of a guilty pleasure… unsubtle but still kind of dope. On the other hand, Sway's verse on the remix is pretty untouchable so I've done a little re-edit here to cut straight to the action.

13) Leady & Megamouth – Freestyle session

14) Talib Kweli – “Peace of Mind”
15) Common & Slum Village – “Thelonius”
16) Slum Village & Jazzy Jeff – “R U Ready?”

A bit of "conscious" rap if you will…

17) Notorious B.I.G. – “Loot”

Got to be one of Biggie's best tracks in my humble opinion.

18) Bobby “Blue” Bland – “Heart Of The City”
19) Jay Z – “Heart Of The City” (Instrumental)
20) Jay-Z ft The Roots & Jaguar Wright – “Heart Of The City” (Live on MTV Unplugged)

Version excursion, motherfuckers…

21) Clutch Player ft Tableek & Doujah Raze – “The Atlantic Connection”
22) No Guns No Dinosaurs – “UK Make Me Move”
23) James Brown – “The Funky Drummer”
24) Jigmastas – “Semi-Precious”
25) The Herbaliser ft Bahamadia – “When I Shine” (Dynamic Syncopation Remix)
26) Zulema – "American Fruit, African Roots"
27) J Dilla – "Love Jones"

So to end off , the last block of tracks is cut up on vinyl (most of the rest of the mixes were off MP3, don't know if it shows?)
