Thavius Beck - BiographyThavius Beck, like many of Los Angeles' independent MCs, cut his teeth at the Project Blowed open mic workshop in LA's Leimert Park. But even in the 1990s, when Beck was a member of Global Phlowtations (along with Mikah-9, Sach, and a handful of others), and went by the handle Adlib, his sights were fixed on the future of music.

Nike Air Max 90Originally developed by Tinker Hatfield and Nike CEO Mark Parker in 1987, the Air Max 1 was the first shoe with a visible air unit, partly  inspired by the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris, a modern building with large glass walls that allow the inside of the building to be seen.

Pseudo SlangPseudo Slang is a hip-hop duo from the Buffalo, NY music scene. Emcee Sick of the Xtracts of Slang and Tone Atlas of the Pseudo Intellectuals teamed up about a decade ago to form Pseudo Slang - a side project that took on a career of its own. After their debut release, The Catalogue (a compilation of tracks PS laid down from 1999 to 2004), Pseudo Slang switched to full time.
