A singer-songwriter and producer, Harold Guerrero, a.k.a. Haldre, was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. At the age of 13, he found his passion for music. A year later, his family moved to Pennsylvania to search for a better life and education.
Haldre started his journey into becoming a musical artist when he was 16. He began taking vocal lessons at the Community Music School and acquired his skills through hard work and willingness to learn about every aspect of music.
His latest single, ‘The Unknown,’ is about someone who doesn’t see the best in themselves. Haldre shares, “The song is about someone who tends to self-sabotage and settles down for less. Someone too afraid of the unknown. This song describes these experiences plus seeing someone you love deeply settle down for less than what they deserve“.
‘The Unknown’ took almost a year to complete as Haldre had a hard time choosing the appropriate melodies and sounds that complements the lyrics. He says, “I’ve always been a fan of that synthwave, synth-pop, retro vibe that reminded you of the golden era (the ’80s). I wanted to use some of that influence and combine it with some modern elements from today“.
