HoopsTalk NBA All-Star WeekendFrom Dallas Texas to London England via the House of Hoops. This weekend wasn’t just for the lover birds celebrating valentine times, chocolates, red wine, roses, candle light dinner in Paris overseeing the Eiffel tower! Too much?

It was the NBA All-star weekend for all those who don’t know it a weekend off at the midway point of an NBA season. For the fans, players, rappers, movies stars in attendance - its party time. Fun packed weekend, which includes celebrity basketball match, 3-point contest, Dunk contest and topped-off with the All-Star Game on the last night, played by the players voted for by the fans.

Held this year in Dallas Texas, the Cowboys stadium the venue for all the on courts games and activities, It was bigger than ever, crowning the weekend off with 108,713 in attendance on Sunday night for the All-Star game - the biggest crown to ever witness a basketball game.

With the NBA being as global as it ever been! Basketball and Hip-Hop going together like peanuts and jelly or Sticky Fingaz on the last verse of an ONYX track. On behalf of NIKE and Frank PR britishhiphop.co.uk was invited long to the London House of Hoops for HoopsTalk. A live Q&A broadcast (where fans could listen to and ask questions) with a number of NBA Superstars (and All-Stars) bar KOBE (but he can be forgiven as he currently injured).

Live broadcast feed from Dallas, to New York, London and Paris via the House Of Hoops in each location HoopsTalk was made global. With the help of facebook directly from your own house you could also get involved with questions read straight off their live feed.

With appearances made by DeMar DeRozan, O.J. Mayo, Tyreke Evans, Paul Pierce, LeBron James, Shannon Brown and Pau Gasol among others. Sitting in the hot seat individually, in pairs or three, showing love to their fans that supported them by taking the time to answer each question and giving their thoughts and opinions on the current NBA season and All-Star weekend.

In attendance in London House of Hoops were small crowd of fans, competition winners and media - making it intimate and close group, which help add to a lively atmosphere. When questions from London were asked to the NBA players (such is the power of the internet), it felt like we were in Dallas with them.

One of the highlights being the one-upmanship between each city showing off who had the most exclusive balling gear and kicks, Yea! New York had everyone beat, but they couldn’t hold a candle to our ballers.

Apart from Twitter (everyone can follow me at... let me first finish my point) - its rare that fans can reach out and speak to their sporting heroes, that kids can holla at the athletes they look up-to and strive to emulate. HoopsTalk allowed that for all the fans in attendance.

The only downside was I didn’t get to ask LeBron “if he knows what a travel is?” but on hindsight it was probably for the best.

...House of Hoops more than a store, way to stay connected to the game.

***For all those who missed out on the All-Star Weekend – you can watch highlights for free on http://www.nba.com, look out for the half-time show with performances Shakira and Alicia Keys.

Next Year get involved ‘cause fan or no fan All-Star weekend worth the trip!! Even if its via the internet!
