The Secret Garden Village Fair is a garden party with a difference, a day out for everyone, pack your best picnic from the Riverside farmers market and settle down next to the bandstand to listen to the strawberries and cream of their hand picked acts. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy you can join in the conga at the Village Disco. As always this isn’t just about the music and there are plenty of things to get involved in. Be sure to look out for The Wheel of Fortune, Mrs Bens Dressing up shop, Tea with the Vicars, May’s Pole, Wacky Racers (Egg & Spoon, Snail Racing), Deck Chairs, and lot’s more jolly good fun in the sun.
Between 12-2pm is a time for the little kids with a Fairy & Elf workshop, Magicians, a Puppet show, Music and Storytelling.
The Bandstand feature’s the Secret Garden’s great friends Patrick & Eugene who will be headlining and performing tracks of old and some new ones from their forthcoming album. The head gardeners have got a few more things to bring out of the potting shed on the day and we can’t wait to see what’s been growing in the Secret Garden.
And that’s not all this smashing day out is completely free for all.
Secret Garden are keen to point out that this is a people’s party whether you’re an artist, activist, musician, filmmaker, firedancer, street performer, circus act or just straight up party people Secret Garden want you to get involved and be there.
