The car was owned by a friend. Speed and alcohol were believed to be factors as the car is rumoured to have been travelling at 95 mph in a 55mph zone. DJ Tiësto's car apparently crossed double lines before hitting a center lane divider. The vehicle then flipped and rolled several times.
It's not known where this story began but Tiësto confirmed that he was alive and well on his twitter this morning stating, 'It's nice to read that people care about my life. Thank you for all the support. It's good to be alive and to get so much love from you xx'.
In a separate statement Tiësto said, 'I don't know where these stories come from, but I'm very much alive and well and looking forward to the rest of my tour, including the second Victoria Park takeover in London'. Thank goodness for that!
Tiësto returns to Victoria Park on the 30th July to host the biggest dance event of the year! He will be joined by very special guests Pendulum, DJ royalty Eddie Halliwell headlining the Mixmag & Don't Stay In Arena, South Central, The Japanese Popstars, Avicii and many more!
If that wasn't enough, London's freshest club nights House Rules and Future Disco host their own arenas for the first year!
In 2009 Tiësto became the first DJ to headline Victoria Park, earning rave reviews for his blistering show and euphoric atmosphere.
