The American alternative hip hop group's eponymous full length debut album entitled Jurassic 5 was realised in 1998 and three albums followed including 'Quality Control', 'Power in Numbers' and 'Feedback', the latter two peaking at number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart. The group disbanded in 2007 following their final EP.
In April 2013 the full line up reunited again and appeared at numerous festivals around the world. 2014 saw Jurassic 5 perform to rapturous audiences and critics alike with The Guardian awarding their Glasgow show Four Stars.
Last year also saw Jurassic 5 unleash their first new material in years with "The Way We Do It". Produced by true Hip Hop hero Heavy D during their "Feedback" recording sessions it was one of four songs they recorded with him with more exclusive songs and versions of songs coming soon.
Jurassic 5 have also announced the re-release of their iconic debut full-length album, Quality Control. It will be released in two formats, in partnership with Get On Down. Available now is a two-song 7" with "Quality Control" on side A and "Jurass Finish First" on side B, followed by a limited-run Quality Control box set which was made available on April 18th, Record Store Day.
