Kiss 100 FM Unsigned PodcastLondon radio station Kiss 100 is pioneering a unique podcast to showcase new unsigned musical talent. The ‘Kiss podcast – unsigned’, features nine free tracks from unsigned UK artists chosen by Kiss 100 DJs and spanning Hip Hop, Grime and House.

The podcast can be downloaded from the Kiss website (www.kiss100.com) or via iTunes and is the first in a planned series.

Andrew Jeffries, Kiss 100 programme director, said: “The aim of the podcast is to champion new music and to give unsigned talent a shop window to reach label bosses and talent scouts.

“The Kiss podcast unsigned reflects the breadth and depth of both the Kiss 100 playlist and of the vast untapped talent making music across the UK.”

For the podcast, DJ Steve Smart, who hosts the Kiss 100 Saturday Night Floorfiller’s Show, selected: Teamsters - Feels Like Love (Morjac Remix),
West London Deep, Tongue Tied and Tom Neville These Beats.

Steve said: “Teamsters aka Morjac’s Feels like Love is a great track, it may not yet have a home but believe me this summer feeling anthem could be massive in 2006! Maybe even a world cup anthem!

“Dave Hedger aka West London Deep, has done loads for Wall Of Sound and stacks of remixes over the years. This track is called Tongue Tied and has the oddest vocal usage I have ever heard.

“You will know Tom Neville for making Studio B's I See Girls famous, it was his remix that we all know and love! He has completed stunning remixes for the likes of Mylo and These Beats is a huge track for me when I play it out.”

Kiss Grime DJ Logan Sama is championing: Scorcher Chance Us, Nasty and Solo Brush Man and Skepta feat. Wiley and JME Single Remix.

Logan, said: “Scorcher Chance Us is a statement speaking out against all the institutions that seem to be unwilling to give the young people for whom Grime music is a way of life an avenue to display their talents.

“Produced by Wiley this is a succinct breakdown of a lot of people's opinions on the UK music industry when it comes to Grime.”

“Skepta ft Wiley & JME Single Remix is the bigger and better remix of Skepta's Friday night anthem for everyone going out to the clubs looking to draw a guy or a girl. Dealing with feisty, smart-mouthed girls, guys only after one thing and everything else that no-one ever talks about in these type of tracks.  Skepta, with help from Wiley and JME, has flipped round the subject of this big track to deal with the other side of "pulling" in a sharp and witty way.”

“Narstie & Solo Brushman sees the two N Double A crew members take it back to the schoolyard days and do lyrical battle as the track descends into a 16 bar head-to-head of cusses and digs.”

Kiss RnB and Hip Hop afficianado, DJ Swerve chose: Loudmouth – Say My Name (Kiss special), Kyra Tick Tock (Mos Wanted remix) and Example and Rusher I Don’t Want To.

DJ Swerve, said: “ Say My Name is fantastic track from a versatile MC from the new breed.  He came up with the highly original Namedrop and delivered a Kiss 100 special. Kyra is just 16-years-old and is an amazing talent who sounds as good live as she does in the studio. I predict big things ahead for her.  I Don’t Want To has big beats backing a very British flow with subject matter covering Pizza Express, Beers and Girls.  Is there anything else?”

Kiss is now looking for the very best unsigned talent across the UK to be included on the next Kiss podcast. If you would like to be considered, send your tracks to Kiss 100 Unsigned Podcasts, Mappin House, 4 Winsley Street, London W1W 8HF.
