Not all veterans wore army fatigues and have tales of military tours to tell. Some earned their stripes in the trenches of Hip Hop's battlefields in the 90's by dropping lyrical bombs or nuclear beats on enemy lines. The struggle to become a decorated Hip Hopper was bloody. Many had their careers blown to smithereens by those with an arsenal more hefty than their own. Others became deserters, not having the stamina or skill to continue pushing the culture forward.
UK Hip Hop has lost one of its greats. On January 1, 2016, veteran DJ producer Mark B passed away. Most UK Hip Hop fans, casual or otherwise, will know Mark B best from The Unknown – a collaborative album with London MC Blade and an LP now widely regarded as a stone-cold classic way beyond UK shores.

Ricko also known as Slick, Ricko Capito and Stainless Steel, is a British born rapper of Cuban, American and Jamaican decent. The London based artist is unmistaken for his distinctive voice, silky flow and flamboyant charisma, he is without a doubt one of the UK's rising rap talents to watch.
Dynametrix started of as Funky Force in 1985 with just two members Ace Shazamme (Shane Ryan) and Master Best (Best Igbenyemi - also known as The Phantom) they were regular visitors when Tim Westwood used to play at Wormwood Scrubs in West London in the UK and during that period sometimes rocked the mic (The Art of MCing), they could also be seen at the Notting Hill Carnival in the early 90s and playing small clubs and town halls on sound systems long before their first deal.
You may not know KC Da Rookee but we do. He was top of the European Hip Hop charts in the early 2000's. KC Da Rookee is a UK Hip Hop Artist whose debut album Rookee Stizza was released on Showdown Records in Germany in 1999. This was followed up by the album Nexcalibur in 2002 with the single Four Fists reaching number fifteen in the National German charts.

DJ Kid Capri, a NY native was birthed into Hip Hop being raised in the origin of the music and culture, the Bronx.
