Are You The CK One?

Fed up of being a bedroom DJ? Think you could be king of the decks? If so then you could be the ckone… ckone, the fragrance from Calvin Klein, has joined forces with Emap’s Kiss Network and Global Radio’s Galaxy Network in a unique DJ talent search to find the best new mixing DJ in the UK. Whether you’re a mixer of tunes or the best scratching talent this side of the Atlantic, you could be the ckone.

All budding turntablists need to do is log on to or via Kiss and regional Galaxy websites – and upload their DJ-ing entries, before 18th November. Entries will be short listed and judged by our exclusive panel of music industry experts, who will pick the tracks played out in a special ckone radio show on December 9th at 9pm, across the Kiss and Galaxy networks. All ten finalists will be showcased during the 2-hour special and the programme will feature interviews with Killa Kela, DJ Swerve (Kiss), Andi Durrant (Galaxy), Rafik (DMC World DJ Champion) and Dipesh Parmar (Ministry of Sound).

The ‘ckone’, will win a fantastic, fully inclusive trip for two to New York (the home of ck), plus £1,000 spending money, accommodation, a set of Technics decks and DJ Software, a slot at a DMC event, a one-off hour long radio show, plus the chance to spend time in the studio with top music producers and have a track released.
