Following the success of Blueprint 2007… Blueprint returns as part of the Dance Currents 2008 season! East London Dance are proud to present Dance Currents 2008 – an eclectic season of dance celebrating work by local, national and international dance artists. From break-dance to ballet, street dance to salsa Blueprint celebrates young dance makers and performers,making their mark today, changing the dance of tomorrow.
With special guests D-Clash (Nike Dance Clash finalists), East London Dance Youth Company, Ricochet Street Dance Company, C-12 Theatre and USV Boys. Catch up with some of the highlights from last year’s show in ‘Where They Are Now’ with performances from Vocab Dance Company, Pryor and ODT.
See the East London premiere of our first Blueprint bursary winner, Leila McMillan, a promising new young choreographer, awarded by East London Dance and London Youth Dance. Awarded in December 2007, the bursary provides Leila with the support needed to create a new work.
