Free Award Winning Film Screenings Are Back This October

To celebrate Guilty or Innocent of Using the N Word winning two awards this year, there will be TWO FREE screenings this October, in conjunction with London's Black History Month

West London screening…
@ Kensington Central Library, Philimore Walk,(Off High St Ken), London W8
on Wednesday 17th October @ 7pm.

Back by popular demand, a discussion on the N word will take place after the film screening.
Confirmed on the panel will be Arts and Entertainment journalist, Matilda Egere-Cooper (The Independent), Big Ted (Kiss 100), Paul H (Hip-Hop Connection) and director of Guilty or Innocent of Using the N Word, Bhavna Malkani.

East London Screening…
The screening will be an East London premiere! Presented by Rich Mix (www.richmix.org.uk)
@Rich Mix Cafe, Bethnal Green Road, Off Brick Lane, London.
on Wednesday 24th October @ 7pm.

To celebrate the premiere, there will be an exclusive q&a with BBC 1Xtra's Rodney P and director, Bhavna Malkani. The screening and after party will take place at the Rich Mix Cafe.
 
About the documentary…
The award winning documentary, Guilty or Innocent of Using the N Word, directed by London film-maker, Bhavna Malkani, explores questions and issues around the derogatory 'N' word.
 
The film breaks down the word chronologically from the history of the word all the way up to Hip-Hop's influence on the acceptance and commercialisation as well as its consequences of exposing the word to mainstream audiences.

Guest appearances in the documentary include M1 (Dead Prez), Grouchy Greg, CEO of Allhiphop.com , The Last Emperor, The 49ers and many others.
 
Guilty or Innocent of Using the N Word has won Best London Film Convention award at the Portobello film festival 2006 and the Best Short Documentary at the H20 International Hip-hop awards in NYC, June 2007.
