Illiterate And Loop Faction To Drop Ordinary Kids On YoGoCop

Known for his eclectic lyricism and laidback delivery, Brighton-based rapper Illiterate is following up his debut album with a collaborative project with Cornwalls’ Loop Faction. Pairing their collective taste for 90’s hip-hop and jazzy tones, the two have delivered 16 tracks of poignant UK Hip-Hop.

The project has been in the making since 2016, with instrumentals being made by Loop on an MPC and recorded directly to tape, before being sent to Illiterate to lace. This traditional method of production can be felt in the lo-fi crunch of the beats, and is accentuated by Illiterate’s effortless delivery and emotional lyricism.

The title ‘Ordinary Kids‘ comes from an organic and playful approach to music-making, and the collaborative nature of the album is echoed through its impressive list of guest features, which include Mr. Key (Contact Play), Datkid, Dereck DAC and a large number of Illiterate’s YoGoCop label mates.

‘Ordinary Kids’ is dropping on 25th June 2021.
