Jamm Presents... DJ Yoda + Shlomo LiveJamm Presents… has produced some incredible highlights at the venue this year with Basement Jaxx and Hot Chip rocking the venue until dawn. And July 8th sees one of the most gifted DJs to walk this earth, DJ Yoda, take to the stage and deliver a set that will most certainly go down in Jamm folklore. This is DJ Yoda’s only London set for the next 3 months as his hits the festivals kicking off with Glastonbury this month.

The amazing DJ Yoda has been drafted in to set the venue alight as he continues to show the world his immense technical talent for DJing and his undeniably unique approach to music itself and of course the dance floor. His recent DJ Yoda & Friends EP  on A Skillz’ Jam City label is still rocking floors courtesy of hot co-collaborators Herve, Nick Thayer and Kormac.

In addition, the World Loopstation Champion beatboxer Shlomo is on hand to take the crowd on a tongue twisting journey through beats and bass.

DJ Yoda is simply a legendary turntablist. From Hip Hop beginnings, he has evolved in the past ten years, using his turntable skills and diverse influences as varied as Funk, B-more, Kuduro, Reggae, Drum ‘n’ Bass and even Big Band Swing and Country & Western to make unashamed party music. He can be found cutting the Indiana Jones theme with woofer-worrying Dubstep or The Muppet Theme with MIA. His shows are peppered with Film, TV and YouTube samples and visuals that lift his sets to new and stratospheric heights.

Q Magazine "one of the ten DJs to see before you die"
Hip Hop Connection "one of the top three DJs in the world"

Shlomo is one of the world’s finest human beatboxers. He is best known for his solo beatbox looping skills, directing an awesome beatbox troupe The Vocal Orchestra, and experimental collaborations with a diverse range of artists such as for mentioned DJ Yoda, Bjork, Martha Wainwright, Hexstatic, Portico Quartet, Jarvis Cocker, and Mad Professor.

Classically trained as a drummer and percussionist, Shlomo soon found his ability to create the same rhythms using only his voice. After collaborating with Icelandic superstar Bjork on her all-vocal album Medulla in 2004, he was spotted by Jools Holland who invited him on to his BBC2 show. Shlomo then became an artist in residence at London’s Southbank Centre where he now curates a series of collaborative concerts called Music Through Unconventional Means.

With a brilliant support line up including, Soundcheck and Rough Tempo DJ’s plus Aussie All Stars, About The Beat plus Tom Thunder, this will be another addition of Jamm Presents that will have the dance floor truly shaking to the beats and bass of the finest DJs and performers.
