JFB Wins The UK DMC Championship 2007JFB is now offically the most talented DJ in the Country. To a capacity crowd at London's Shepherds Bush Empire JFB was crowned champion in a unamous decision to a raptous applause from the crowd. With a set designed for the dancefloor as well as the technicians at the event. JFB was the only contestant to get the crowd dancing in his 6 min intense set. (and to go home drunk with a model at the end).

JFB is a Brighton based DJ and regualrly plays accross europe and the UK at Drum'n'bass and Hip Hop events. Including the legendery Movement and Audio (Brighton) Clubs as well as every major club in London (End, Fabric, Mass etc etc.) and regualar festival apperances. He has had releases on Drum'n'bass's Hospital label amougst others. His undisputed skills have been utilised by artists such as Evil 9, I'lls, Tc Islam, Brockie, Deekline, McDet, Skool of Thought as well as promo work with DJ Mag, Rane, Vaxaull, Numark & Vestax.... to bring some of his expert record manipulation skills on their tunes, press releases, product demonstrations & video flyers and more.

JFB Wins The UK DMC Championship 2007He has previously won the Movement / Vestax 2003 (Drum'n'Bass) DJ Competition. The prizes for winning included a live mix on BBC Radio 1 on Fabio & Grooverider.

JFB is a dedicated and passionate artist. As a professional DJ he can be found pounding the streets flyering his Battlejam nights, putting himslef through hours of gruelling practise and helps out at music events at local schools. In it for the long term he allways strives to push his art further than his peers. A true Souljah.

He will be attempting to conquer the world at the DMC world final at the O2 (millenium) Dome in October '07.

The DMC Championships have been the globally achnowledged highest form of attainment a DJ can attain in competition. Past contenders include - Scratch Perverts, Coldcut, DJ Hype, Tall Paul, Birdy Nam Nam and Cut Master Smith.

  • JFB's Current projects include:

Battlejam

JFB and 2X UK Beatbox champion promote their own public Jam session. Using the latest technology and some excellent musicians this is the next level of live music. Compleatly interactive. They sample the crowds screams, mumbles and requests. loop them up and then manipulate the sounds using JFBs turntables and Beardyman's mouth alongside a terrifying selection of peddles, effects units, samplers and computers to produce on the spot tunes and remixes.

Next gig:

Battlejam, Fri, July 20th @ Audio NightClub, Brighton.

Dub Sessions

Using 3 serato scratch setups, 4 decks, a psp, 2 laptops, outboard delays / reverbs, some musicians  and a 16 channel mixing desk. JFB and Ed Solo (Undiluted, Supercharged record labels) bring the traditonal Dub set up as used by Lee Scratch Perry and the Mad Professor up to date. With the popularity of Dubstep at the moment they are looking at taking the setup on the road with a number of vocalists and musicians. Total sonic manipulation is now possible.
