Mellowtone DJs At Late At TateStarting monthly from Thursday 26 July, there will be an opportunity to drop-in to the Tate Gallery after 18.00 and enjoy a series of one-off events themed around the artworks on display. On Thursday 26 July (Tomorrow!) Late at Tate is inspired by Peter Blake, and the Mellowtone DJs have been invited along to play some records.

Peter Blake: A Retrospective opened at Tate Liverpool at the end of June, and this night pays homage to one of Britain’s greatest living artists with a night of Blake-inspired events. Peter Blake and Tracey Emin will be ‘in conversation’ discuss Peter’s life, work and influences, (sold out) but afterwards Peter will take to the gallery floor to sign copies of the catalogue accompanying the exhibition, poet John Hughes leads 'Storytelling for Grown-Ups' in the Peter Blake exhibition, using artworks as the impetus for imaginative tales (£7).

In the foyer the Mellowtone DJs, joined by special guest Edgar Jones, will respond to Blake’s musical influences in a DJ set, including selections from Emin and Blake’s own musical playlists.

6-9pm, Tate Liverpool, Albert Dock
Entry to Tate Liverpool on Late at Tate nights will be free, special exhibitions at reduced prices.

Thursday 26th July, 6-9pm
