Rare Kid Koala Performance In The UK20th September sees an extremely rare opportunity to catch the the Canadian turntable master KID KOALA in the UK for the album launch at Cargo, Shoreditch, London. The LP is entitled 'Your Mom's Favourite DJ' and is available on Ninjatune.net from the 18th Sept. There is 200 tickets allocated at the door although advance tickets will probably be sold out on the night...

Rightly summed up by Dusted magazine ‘Kid Koala is the smartest, funniest DJ in hip hop today, maybe ever’. As compelling, creative and sometimes hilarious his productions are, his live shows are nothing short of spell-binding, extraordinary and fun. Last London show in 2003 Koala aside from spinning upto 6 records at a time on 8 decks before then stopping for a bingo break then completely blew away the 1000 or so people crammed into Jongleurs! Expect nothing but the most incredible loops, the most intelligent beats with a healthy smattering of jazzy breaks and also some groundbreaking exclusive mixes. Koala is someone who creates new scenes not follows them.

Rare Kid Koala Performance In The UKDrowned In Sound quoted one punter at the last gig as , “you know, this is one of those gigs where you’d prefer to piss yourself than go to the toilet and miss anything.” Quite.

Plus suport from the wicked Zero dB (who will play out the night and are causing pretty big waves of there own) and DJ Sparky (Solid Steel) who warms up for Koala...

Tickets £10 adv.
