Featuring the best artists from Nova Scotia - and a guest contribution from Louisiana's Big Brotha – the project aims to give an outlet for these as-of-yet under exposed artists.

Tate Modern today launches the second in the Tate Tracks series of exclusive music partnerships with a new track from East London grime collective Roll Deep. The new track “Searching” is inspired by Anish Kapoor’s sculpture Ishi’s Light and will be exclusively available at a listening post in front of the artwork for one month. The track will also be available for a further month from 1st November on the www.tatetracks.org.uk website.
Sounding more Detroit than Stockholm, Up Hygh, the wonder-kid hip-hop / soul production duo, are quite literally poised to reinvent the “Swedish sound”. Through their ‘Venus’ album, Pure-P and Rick Skizzo, the two 20yr-old producers behind Up Hygh, have delivered a unique pressure-cooked mixture of sexy deepspace funk, raw hip-hop and soulful r&b.
Blade will be performing his last ever live performance next saturday, 7th October 2006. After years of recording and performing, Blade now announces this to be his last ever performance, but says he will continue to record for fun and see what happens. The venue is small so only a limited number of tickets are available.
Loud instrumentals made of trumpets and tuba sounds while Verses introduces you into the Focused song. Verses’ voice is gritty and the whole song is written in an offensive manner. What is scurrilous as well. Verses has a nice flow delivery. However, I would like to point out a main weakness in the artist’s way of rapping, not from a hater’s point of view, but simply trying to offer some constructive criticism.
St. Louis emcee Penelope Jones is putting the finishing touches on her debut album. As yet untitled, the album is slated for release on November 7th on Universal Motown Records. Penelope enlisted two high-profile collaborators for the lead singles of the album; Lil Wayne on "Miss Me With That Foolishness" and Mya on the R&B tinged "No Matter What They Say".
