Bekay - Brooklyn Bridge / I Am 12" [Coalmine]Underground heavyweight Bekay returns with a strong debut Digi-12" release to his long awaited album Hunger Pains which drops November 10th, 2009. This dynamic maxi-single includes the Alchemist produced "I Am" and the recently leaked "Brooklyn Bridge" which features the legendary Masta Ace.

On "I Am", Bekay delivers a timeless ode to hip-hop as he slaloms through an anthemic piano loop conducted by The Alchemist. DJ Revolution lends his turntable wizardry to the hook by cleverly orchestrating hip-hop quotables from Das Efx, Stetsasonic, Common and Dead Prez.

On "Brooklyn Bridge", Bekay joins forces with veteran rapper Masta Ace to pay tribute to the borough that made him both the man and artist that he is today. Both Bekay and Ace share their depictions of life, love, music and crime in their home town of Brooklyn. DJ Babu produces a nostalgic, feel good soundscape on "Brooklyn Bridge" and completes the cypher by contributing his handy work on the hook by fusing vocal samples from MC Lyte, Milk Dee and MC Shan.

Main, Radio & Instrumental passes of both tracks are available in addition to a special video mix.
