Whilst you may have known that the Bugz In The Attic have been around for a while you may be surprised to hear that it is now 10 years! They have their Saga Centre studio based in Ladbroke Grove and have been staples around East London’s Sunday night Co-Op club.

What is more surprising is that this single Move Aside is lifted from their debut LP entitled Back In The Dog House. You may have heard of their biggest record to date so far – Booty La La and this song sort of follows in the same vein, maintaining a club oriented vibe with heavy drum patterns and forthright hooks.

Set to do damage on the dancefloor this track adds to the already large octet of musicians and features the enthralling tones of Bemba Segue on vocals. A truly rock shocking track, it takes a while to get moving, but the funk is evident from the forts few bars and the bass stabs fill you with anticipation of the drop. Urgency is added with shakers and a staccato rising tone, but the drop doesn’t really happen. Definitely movement inducing, but possibly feels like something is missing. Regardless any breakers should love this for uprocking to.

Make sure you look out for the Bugz if you like up-tempo funky dance music.
