YTV and producer Henry the 8th have teamed up to bring you more free music under the Freedom Of Press alias. Verified is the follow up release to the well received 2010 EP Yet to Verify. The EP provides another seven tracks from the duo, with a fine selection of rhymes from YTV, over the heavy, lively, often orchestral production from Henry the 8th, and the overall polished level of production that made their first release popular.

Of the strong track list, it’s definitely worth mentioning the appearances from First Son‘s U.S alum rapper Lordwillin, and U.K veteran Wordsmith, teaming up with YTV on upbeat track Persistence. Also, the aptly named posse-cut Cypher features a diverse range of talents from M.A.B, Blammer, recent EOW UK and Battle Scars champion Tenchoo, and his fellow Don’t Flop competitor Oshea, not forgetting Ramson Badbonez, and Jabba Tha Kut on cuts.

On the whole, this release proves to be amongst the strongest free releases emerging from the UK over 2011 thus far, and will be sure to spark interest in the upcoming LP release from the duo. Also, with the Verified EP, and Tenchoo’s debut album Scary Movie both dropping within the past three months, First Son Records is certainly making its mark on the British hip-hop scene, and proving to be a label to watch out for in the years ahead.
