Guilty Simpson - Stress 12Picking up where ‘Man’s World’ left off, Dilla continues his foray into bait sample territory here - flipping ‘Eleanor Rigby’, apparently written by some obscure Liverpudlian band called The Beatles. Whatever!

The production is fresh and breezy and Guilty’s trademark baritone weighs down its summer bounce in fine style, showing off an impressive introspective flair. Catchy chorus too.

The material Simpson recorded with Dilla has only seen the light of day in drips and drabs on limited Stones Throw 12’s and will most likely continue this way. Fans are advised to pick this up quickly.
