Hired Gun the veteran Real Hip-Hop activist and emcee from Brooklyn comes back with another track called The Pressure. I was concerned when I heard the first few seconds of the track. That quickly disappeared when I heard the lyricism and the delivery. This is an artist that never ceases to amaze me. The lyrics are on point, the delivery is right-there and the lyrics speak truth.
Many artists produce track after track and think they have a hit or banger but, the sound is that same generic, dance-induced with the same gun-slinging, gangster image, “make it rain” lyrics. Artists seem to think by pumping out track after track that they have a hit on their hands.
Take note aspiring artists, it takes time to perfect a track and produce one that speaks to the listener. Hired gun has done just this, taking time to perfect and track that sounds on-point. This track will even make the hardest “gangster” Hip-Hop aficionado nod their head.
The beat is simple, nothing too fancy and the melody nothing out of the ordinary. But what makes the track this good is the way the, melody and beat have been paired with what I can only call a flawless emcee!
Track starts off with a nice sound and the upbeat tempo is kept throughout. It instantly made me nod my head and I’m sure it will when you hear it too.
This is a taste of what’s to come from Hired Gun’s new EP called The Hits and Pieces EP then I’m truly excited and can’t wait to hear the whole album.
