Humurak D'Gritty - They Ain't Ready 12Humurak D Gritty, widely regarded as one of the UK's fiercest rhyming talents, is back with what's being tipped as his strongest material to date.

They Ain't Ready employs some of hip hop's most used samples, but crucially spins them into meticulously realised fist-pumping, lighter-raising new directions. Lyrically, Gritty takes no prisoners and his punch lines come with a bigger sting than ever before. Add the dopest backdrop of crystal clear high hats and neck snapping drum licks provided by SFDB label boss and beat digger to the stars, Secondson, for H Dot D Dot to spit his relentless UK street mentality over and you have a potent mix.

An appearance on British rap legend Blade's new album, a support slot with the biggest selling home grown rap star of all time, Skinnyman, and accolades from the likes of NME ("bleak, brilliant stuff") and DJ Mag ("absolutely incredible") have made their mark on Cardiff's self-styled 'street solider with a chip on his shoulder'. He's used the attention and praise from these heavyweights to good effect and hit the studio hard with a new confidence and world beating attitude in his stride.

Gritty doesn't need us to tell you that though. He can do it himself. He'll say "mix Big Pun with Jay-Z, add Biggie, a British mentality and you got me," but as he points out he can back it, walk it, talk it and he's ready to prove it.
