Kryptik - Roman Roads

SAMA award nominee, Kryptik, is back with a brand new track and as expected, it’s a heavy hitter. The Paisley-based artist, (more commonly known for his classic Boom Bap approach), shows he’s more than a one-trick pony, as he aggressively attacks a UK Drill-type beat with intricate flows and clever wordplay.

A menacing melody sets the tone until the full weight of the 808’s comes crashing down on this neck-snapping instrumental, (produced by the late Laigo). Accompanied by yet another one of his signature hooks; this one’s sure to get you amped up, as he highlights the harsh realities of drug culture that most Drill emcees leave in the shade.

The track is called ‘Roman Roads‘ and is the first release from his forthcoming project, ‘End of the Road‘. This project is aimed at flipping the UK Drill narrative; reflecting it’s true colours and leaving behind his own troublesome past. The adrenaline fuelled video was shot and directed by Andrew MacKenzie and showcases some serious drifting skills.

This is Kryptik’s third release of the year, following the thought provoking ‘Demons‘, which claimed a spot on the SAMA’s Top 10 April Roundup and  ‘Ayahuasca‘ which seen support from BBC Introducing and even made national press with the Scottish Daily Record.
