Mr B Hails from the spirtual Hip Hop Centre of the world of Peterborough, host of the only UK Hip Hop Boombap Festival, Although music had always been essential in his life, it wasn’t until he was 19/20 years old and realised he wanted to write and make music personally, to try and help not only himself but his compadres.
B grew up listening to a wide range of music, everything from the Frank Sinatra and Sam Cooke all the way to B.I.G and 2 PAC… current artists he’s inspired by would be Eminem, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Wretch 32 just to name a few.
Mr B blesses you with the ‘Don’t Mind Me‘ EP his gift to Hip Hop heads looking for some real music for a change. Taking it back to boom bap beats full of sick bars, humour and thought provoking statements. It’s time to stand up to bullshit. From the people that run music and the people that run countries.
The EP is five songs and 15 minutes deep. Each track is produced by Inos and does maintain the classic feel whether it be steel guitar, strings or soul samples. Much of Mr B’s delivery is clear and concise and devotes time to describing the tracks and production and how it makes him feel.
Strictly good vibes throughout, “Don’t Mind Me” packs a heavy selection of track from the Peterborough emcee, ranging from the bass heavy “Back to the Boombap” to the super chilled soulful sounds of “So True” and “Don’t Walk Away“.
With Inos on production and Mr B’s signature laid back style “Don’t Mind Me” is a perfect way to relax after a hard day and let your mind slip away into Mr B’s thought provoking, norm-challenging lyrical content and head nodding beat selection.
The EP from 4 The Culture Records will be available on major platforms, but will also be available on the labels website with a couple of bonus tracks, link at the bottom of the page.
