Bojangles is the first release from Pitbull’s sophomore LP, El Mariel and here we have the remix version, which features some heavyweight names. The production owes much to Pitbull’s latino origins with a furious 808 beat over which Lil Jon and the Ying Yang Twins guest.
It is loud and in your face and as it was created by Lil Jon it has that southern Crunk feel as well. Whistles and synths are typical of Lil Jon and the Ying Yang Twins make sure that it is all about the booty. This is certainly one for the clubs, but I’m not really sure if it appeals more than that.
On this remix release the CD includes Radio, Dirty and instrumental versions as well as the original which although it shares the same production is a tad better as it is not defiled by the appaling Ying Yang Twins.
