P-MoneyP-Money AKA Peter Wadams, New Zealand’s finest Hip-Hop producer, lays down the funk and dishes out the meaty beats. Young and irreverent, his resume is nothing but impressive. This year, NZ’s bad boy drops his second full-length release, entitled, ‘Magic City’ and welcomes you to experience this magical ride.

‘Magic City’ features 16 incredible P-Money produced tracks and an amazing line-up of guest artists gathered from here and around the world. The bringing together of such international hip-hop talent gives this album a truly global feel. Feel the lyrical brilliance of MC Skillz as he lays down the law on stand out track, ‘3,2,1’. Stateside based, Senegalese lyricist, Akon adds his surreal voice to ‘Keep On Callin’; a smooth, sexy track that showcases the mellower range of P-Money’s talented arsenal. Elsewhere, Brit boy, Mystro, gives ‘I Had None’ a down and dirty edge and scratch master, Roc Raida works the turntable magic on ‘Represent’.

All City2002 saw P-Money release his critically acclaimed landmark debut album ‘Big Things’. In 2003, P-Money was credited with four top 5 hits including ‘Not Many – The Remix!’, ‘Stop, Drop and Roll’ for the Deceptikonz and the number one’s ‘Stand Up’ and ‘Dreaming’ performed by Scribe. Fast-forward to 2004, P-Money picks up Vodafone’s ‘Producer of the Year’ award for his work on Scribe’s multi-platinum debut ‘The Crusader’.
P-Money is not only about good times but also about technical wizardry as well. Regarded as one of NZ’s best DJ’s, tearing up dance floors the world over and previously taking 3rd place at the prestigious Technics DMC World DJ Championships. His 6 year career has seen him spin alongside the world’s finest DJ’s Roc Raida, The X-Ecutioners, DJ Craze, A-Trak, Mix Master Mike, DJ Revolution and open up for the likes of 50 Cent, Obie Trice & Public Enemy.
With that said, ‘Magic City’ is every city, the city you grew up in or the city you escaped to as soon as you were grown enough to go! You met people in that city who shaped who you are. You heard things and saw things that shaped your life. Take a trip through the streets of ‘Magic City’ and, for the first time in a while, experience a rap record that makes you FEEL something.
