Shabazz The Disciple - Hood Scriptures LP [Metal Barz / Chambermusik]After five years in the making, and after hearing the many urban legends attached to this album, Shabazz The Disciple has returned with an official album entitled Hood Scriptures. Produced exclusively by Canadian beat-smith DJ Extremidiz, this album is a journey through the Red Hook Projects and the world of Shabazz.

Shabazz is one of the earliest practitioner of the Hip-Hop style later called "Horrorcore" and he was a founding member of The Wu-Affiliated group Sunz of Man even though he left them early on and went on to forge his own name in history of Hip-Hop. He trademarked his often imitated style on the legendary Gravediggaz track Diary of a Madman, which is now considered a bonafide Hip-Hop classic.

Unlike most mixtapes / compilations being sold these days, Bazz opted to put his best foot forward with a strong solo performance in the tradition of great emcees like Rakim. However, this is no old school album, as Shabazz addresses many political, historical, and survival issues of today in his subject matter. The musical landscape is pure grimy, well-crafted heat, which really brings out Bazz's classic tone of righteous anger which made him a living legend in Hip-Hop. The framework of this album is that of a series of lessons taught by the Master himself, a veritable Holy Bible from the hood, teaching invaluable lessons on survival in these last days.

The album will be available as of February 15th, 2011 in all Hip-Hop stores via Metal Barz / Chambermusik Special Products, and will be distributed by Fat Beats Distribution.

Release Date: February 15th, 2011
