Rapper Swami Baracus has been on the music scene for a number of years, crafting his style and flow, whilst developing his lyrical content. Having received substantial airplay from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music (Tom Robinson), BBC 1Xtra, Kiss 100 and BBC Asian Network, Baracus has performed at the UK Asian Music Awards press launch and was the winner of the Asian 8-Mile MC Battle contest, which took place at Notting Hill Arts Club.
He was nominated for a BritAsia Award in 2011 for Best Urban Asian Act and in 2012 won three Bronze awards (Best Hip-Hop Act, Best Hip-Hop song and Best Cross-Genre) at the Bite My Music Global awards. He performed at the T In The Park festival in Scotland, Freeze Festival at Battersea Power Station and his single 'The Recipe' was added to the BBC Radio 1 daytime playlist.
