The Souls of Mischief is a hip hop group from Oakland, CA, and part of the hip hop collective Hieroglyphics. Signed to Jive / Sony BMG. Its members include A-Plus, Tajai, Phesto and Opio. The Souls of Mischief debuted in 1993 with their album 93 'til Infinity, released on Jive Records. They later released No Man's Land (1995), Focus (1999), and Trilogy: Conflict, Climax, Resolution (2000).

Souls of Mischief’s Opio To Release Trilogy of Albums

Opio, member of the classic hip-hop group Souls of Mischief, has released details of his sophomore solo album, Vulture's Wisdom, Volume 1. The album will include a bonus DVD with music videos as well as animated shorts and features artwork by renowned pop artist David Flores. The album will be released in August on Hiero Imperium Records as the first chapter of a forthcoming trilogy.

The concept for My Last Good Deed was born out of a conversation A Plus had with his father. "We were discussing how I had these reoccurring problems in different areas of my life like relationships and business dealings. My dad's advice was to put my foot down and make one last effort to make the situations work out. He said 'If it still doesn’t work out, make it your last good deed and move on'".

In 1982, at the age of 8, Adam Carter woke up on a Saturday morning, poured himself some cereal, sat down in the living room in front of the TV, turned off the cartoons that he normally watched, and penned his first rhyme. The son of Jamaican immigrants living in the heart of Oakland, he had recently been exposed to the early sounds of hip-hop.
